The teaching and theory delivered for this course is delivered in groups, in the Classroom, 1 day a week (Term Time Only).
Apprentices will be allocated an Apprentice Skills Tutor (AST), who will come out into the workplace to support and observe the apprentice.
Tripartite Reviews will be completed on a 10-week basis, face to face onsite at the apprentice’s workplace.
On the course, the apprentice will study the relevant Knowledge, Skills & Behaviours (KSB’s) such as:
- Ways of working: Legal and Organisation
- Client Care / Customer Service
- Technical – Shampoo, condition hair
- Technical – Cut and restyle hair
- Technical – Styling and finishing hair
- Technical – Colouring and lightening hair
- The Hairdressing Industry
English & Maths at Level 1 / 2, if applicable.

Apprentices need to be working in a Salon and in a Hairdressing Environment.
It is desired that all applicants hold a GCSE Grade 1 in English and Math’s or have achieved a Functional Skill at Level 1 / Adult Literacy and Numeracy at Level 1 or Key Skills Communication and Application of Number at Level 1.
Level 1 / equivalent must be achieved in English and Maths, prior to taking End Point Assessment.
A functional skill level 2 upskill, maybe required in English and Maths.

Advanced Creative Hair Professional – Level 3
The fees for all apprenticeships are paid for by your employer. Employers access funding through the Apprenticeship Levy or their Digital Apprenticeship Service account. Employers can gain additional information from our apprenticeship team, contact enquiries@rnntraining.co.uk or call 01709 513147.
You will require a uniform (tunic and trousers), flat black closed toe shoes and a Level 2 Hairdressing kit (prices TBC and both can be ordered through college).
