Apprentices will work towards the Level 3 Early Years Educator knowledge, skills and behaviour, gaining key skills needed in the childcare and education sector.
They will show competence through producing a portfolio of evidence, workplace observations, Q&A as well as assignment-based tasks, taking part in online class delivery and theory sessions, functional skills (where applicable).
The programme will be delivered through synchronous and asynchronous learning, accessing a combination of blended learning consisting of face to face tutor-led teaching sessions as well as online training and independent study.
The apprentice will gain a vast knowledge and applied experience within the childcare and education industry.
During the apprenticeship, apprentices will study and learn the knowledge, skills and behaviours which will prepare for the End Point Assessment:
- Legislation, Policy and Procedures for Working in Early Years settings
- Safeguarding
- Child Development, from Birth to 7 years
- How to support and extend children’s learning in line with the EYFS
- Health and Safety of Babies and Young Children
- Partnership Working
- Supporting SEND needs
- Communication, Literacy and Language Development
- Promote Health and Wellbeing of Babies and Young Children
- Support Children’s Learning Through Play
- Self-Reflection and Continuous Professional Development
- Supporting Equality, Diversity and Inclusion
- Supporting Positive Behaviour
Mandatory qualifications will be completing throughout the course:
- Functional Skills maths and English Level 1 (if applicable)
- Level 2 Diploma for Early Years Practitioner

GCSE grade D-F/2-3 or Level 1 Maths and English equivalent.
