As an Auto-care Technician you will carry out a range of services and repairs to cars, car derived vans and light goods vehicles, working in an Auto-care or ‘Fast-Fit’ centre, which may be part of a national chain or operated by a regional/local independent group/owner.
As an Auto-care Technician you require a unique combination of technical, retail and customer service skills. You will use a range of tools, measuring and diagnosing equipment to identify and repair simple system faults.

- Functional Skills Level 1 in English and maths (if needed)
- F-Gas Qualification
- You will work with employers to gain hands-on experience in your industry and earn a salary while you learn
- You will learn from our industry-experienced tutors in state-of-the-art College workshops
- You will learn new skills, knowledge and behaviours and be able to transfer these skills
- You will have access to a highly qualified functional skills team
- You will have access to all College facilities and be issued with a student card
- Level 1 or equivalent in English and Maths, and willing to sit L2 English and Maths exams
- A genuine interest in the occupation
- The ability to work an organised and methodical way
- Good communication skills

Level 3 Motor Vehicle Service and Maintenance Technician
