The aim of the course is to provide learners with the knowledge needed when working directly with children and young people in a school or college environment. It will enable learners to gain an understanding of elements including children and young people’s development and safeguarding their welfare. You will need to be working or on a practical placement during the duration of the taught programme of study for a minimum of 2 days a week.
The course will run on a Thursday evening 5.30 to 8.30.
Mandatory units 11
This course will help you to explore future career options and develop your skills while having your learning recognised as a formal qualification. The course is delivered by experienced and skilled tutors with vocational expertise.
- GCSE/Level 2 Maths and English.
- Level 2 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning
- Experience in schools of working as a teaching and learning assistant will be considered.
