This course is designed to stimulate interest and encourage your understanding of the skills required to care for children.
You’ll study a range of topics including:
- Sharing learning experiences with children
- Respect and value of children
- Science activities for young children
- Musical activities for young children
- Learning about forest schools
- Listening to and talking with a young child.
Learn from industry-experienced and well qualified tutors who have spent many years in the early years sector, having specialist qualifications and knowledge to bring to their teaching. Participation in work experience, opportunities to take part in cross-college events, guest speaker sessions and links in an early years settings including nurseries and primary schools.
GCSEs at grade 2 including English and Maths or equivalent functional skills level 1, routes to care or certificate in caring for children. Successful interview with a course tutor.
