This course will support you in increasing your understanding of the principles of healthy eating and the role of food in maintaining health. This will provide you with greater confidence in planning and achieving a healthy diet. The programme provides an insight into food labelling, eating disorders and the role of a healthy diet for weight management. It also looks at how to prepare, handle and store food safely.

To be eligible to undertake our free distance learning courses you must meet the below criteria:
- Living in the UK and aged 19+
- If you are aged 19-23 you must hold a full Level 2 qualification and not currently enrolled on an apprenticeship
- Aged 24 or above – free to everyone
