This course will enable you to gain a thorough understanding of the Prevent Duty and safeguarding. In terms of Prevent, you will explore the key themes of radicalisation, extremism and terrorism, and how to reduce the risk of radicalisation. In the safeguarding unit, you will look at how to recognise signs of abuse or potential harm and know how to respond if abuse or harm is disclosed, suspected or alleged. Finally, in the online safety unit, you will examine the potential consequences of inappropriate or illegal online activity, how to reduce the risks posed online, and how to spot signs and behavioural changes that could cause concern.
You will study a range of topics including:

To be eligible to undertake our free distance learning courses you must meet the below criteria:
- Living in the UK and aged 19+
- If you are aged 19-23 you must hold a full Level 2 qualification and not currently enrolled on an apprenticeship
