AUTOTECH Visit to Dearne Valley College

This month at Dearne Valley College our Level 3 Motor Vehicle learners were visited by Autotech Academy. Autotech Academy are a leader in automotive recruitment and aim to help newly qualified Level 3 learners get their first paid role.

The initiative, called Toyota Talent Powered by Autotech Academy, is there to make sure that Level 3 technicians get a strong start in the automotive industry. Learners are placed in a garage on a paid internship lasting from six to twelve months with a view to progress into a permanent position.

Terrell Lloyd-Conlon from Autotech presented to our students about the benefits of this, they covered what companies were wanting out of newly qualified technicians, advancements within the industry, the Toyota journey and much more.

The students were engaged and questioning throughout and enjoyed the presentation. With eight of our students signing up to the internship scheme.
