Public Services students are donated bullet resistant vest from worldwide manufacturer

SafeGuard Clothing, a worldwide manufacturer and distributor of body armour, is working to support the next generation of public service officials by donating one of its bullet resistant vests to Dearne Valley College.

The company recently presented a bullet resistant vest to the college’s Public Service department to be used for in-class demonstrations. The company’s philanthropic initiative continues despite hard economic times. The main incentive behind SafeGuard Clothing’s donation is that it is in the students’ best interests acquire experience with safety equipment that is critical to public safety and their safety as future public service officials.

And we want to allow students to take advantage of these best practices. Our intent to take student learning experiences to the next level in the classroom will allow for detailed technical analysis across Uniformed Public Services programs.”

Students at Dearne Valley College will benefit from the improved training method supplemented with equipment from an industry leader to enhance student experience in the classroom. This donation from SafeGuard Clothing supplements it with the best practical experience possible. First-hand experience with modern body armour better prepares students in the Public Service course for their line of work.

SafeGuard Clothing a worldwide manufacturer and distributor of body armour and is involved in research and development for new materials to enhance the wearability of protective body armour for front line services. First-hand experience of using such police, military and security personnel level professional equipment will give students at Dearne Valley College a unique opportunity to get used to the sort of protective clothing they will use in their budding careers.
