DVC’s First Summer Festival
The rain held off for Dearne Valley College to hold its first Summer Community Festival on Saturday 1st July for members of the local community to come on in and enjoy a family day of fun and find out more about what the College offers through a variety of activities on offer.
Not only that, Dearne Valley College opened its brand new Low Ropes course with special guest – Martin Goodwin – from Ninja Warrior Sheffield. This special course has been designed for our public services and sports students to use for their course as well as general students and company staff on training days. Lots of adults and children alike tried out the new course and enjoyed the variety of challenges around the course.
Those who attended were also able to enjoy Animal Tours with a Meerkat Experience, a bouncy castle, live performances from students, a variety of stalls including face painting and braiding, and home grown produce in the College garden centre.
Learners were also on hand to sell their products in the garden centre, as well as home made bbqs made in the Motor Vehicle department who were also valeting cars on the day.
A great day was had by all!
