RNN Group Learners to be Rewarded with Experience Flights
Rotherham College – part of the RNN Group – announced in June the launch of a BTEC Diploma Level 3 in Aviation Operations from September 2023 in partnership with Quiet Tiger Aviation.
Thirty-two places were available for students to take part in this two-year BTEC Aviation Operations course which includes real-world air experience flying at local aerodromes as part of the course although only a few remain.
Quiet Tiger Aviation are additionally providing enrichment activities through an airborne navigation project for 12 learners. The extra-curricular experience will be offered to give 12 introductory flying lessons as a reward to learners from any course across the Group who have both good attendance and academic progress records, and display positive behaviours both inside and outside of the classroom.
“This is an exciting and innovative reward for our high performing learners and we are delighted to be partnering with Quiet Tiger Aviation with this additional flight and airborne navigation activity.”
“Many of our learners work really hard to apply themselves to develop their knowledge, learn new skills and show positive behaviours throughout the time they are with us and we want to reward this application by our learners with something different and unique.”
“Learners will develop their essential work skills through meeting new people, communicating and working as a team to plan and fly a route to a remote aerodrome”
Tracey Mace-Akroyd, Deputy CEO & Principal of the RNN Group
