“I have an interest in studying Criminology, so I think working with data and experience of administration, as well as enhancing my computer skills will definitely be valuable in the future.”
In the Motor Vehicle department, staff have had the chance to share their expertise with 15-year-old Ashley Axon, who has a passion for mechanics.
Ashley said, “I’ve learned so many new things by working in the motor vehicle industry, including stripping engines, welding and the anatomy of an engine.
“Stripping an engine is a bit like a puzzle, learning how to put it back together again and developing a deeper understanding of car parts has been such a fantastic experience for me – I definitely want to work in the industry and have a career in mechanics.”
